This serene aquascape is constructed using a clever combination of moss on drift wood and stone. The moss gives the wood a matured, aged look. This approach avoids using soil and demonstrates a great way to introduce a mix of beautiful rock textures and greenery without investing in specialized planted tank specific equipment.
Tanks that start out as fish-only tanks can do simple conversions using such principles - which improves the overall presentation of the tank tremendously. Besides moss, Anubias and Java fern are species that will grow well even in non CO2 injected tanks.
